To be a team manager at the John Lewis Partnership requires you to take full responsibility for your section and the Partners within it. You’ll be commercially minded and thrive on generating and delivering sales by motivating your team to deliver excellent results, ultimately contributing to the overall success and compliance of the branch.

But as well as having a handle on your section and the bigger retail picture, you will be genuinely enthused about helping our Partners fulfil their own potential. You’ll lead and coach your Partners, planning and organising their duties and delegating to them so they can be the best they can be whilst using their time effectively. Your passion for selling and retail will delight our customers and enable you to develop and coach Partners whilst ensuring that the performance of your section is delivered to a high standard, maintaining the brand through great standards.
It’s essential you have strong leadership and communication skills as you’ll be required, on occasion, to take on the responsibility of Duty Manager and Deputy Head of Branch. Your ability to communicate and work with other Partners, leaders and stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds and build relationships with them will be vital.
