Customer Delivery Installation jobs

By taking on an installer role, you’ll provide first-class customer service while delivering, assembling and installing products in our customers’ homes. Because of this, it’s vital that you adhere to current legislation while following health and safety processes. You should also understand and promote appropriate procedures to ensure that all deliveries are made in line with the Partnership’s standards.

What will I do as a Customer Delivery Installer?

Within this role, you will:

  • Complete standard TV and product assembly installations in customers’ homes in a safe manner
  • Competently disconnect and reconnect free standing laundry and dishwashing appliances and assembly of various product types
  • Carry out customer deliveries and installations in route order, keeping the customer informed of any delays

Trainee Driver jobs and Trainee Installer jobs

In addition to our regular driver roles, we also deliver a 12-month Customer Delivery Driver and Installer Trainee programme for Trainee Drivers and Installers. Within this course, you’ll learn several new skills, take a number of assessments to prove your knowledge and upon successful completion of the programme, become a fully competent Customer Delivery Driver or Customer Delivery Installer at John Lewis & Partners.

What will I do as a Trainee Driver or Installer?

Within this role, you will:

  • Locate goods and load your delivery vehicle in a safe and secure manner
  • Deliver outstanding service to every customer as a John Lewis & Partners ambassador
  • Demonstrate understanding, confidence and capability in all aspects of the role

Will I suit this role?

If you’re passionate about customer service and ensuring deliveries and installations are carried out safely and efficiently, this could be the ideal course for you. We typically look for individuals with a great geographical knowledge, IT skills, as well as experience in installing white and brown goods. Although you will be completely supported by us, you should take responsibility for your own learning and self-development.

Customer Delivery Lead Technician jobs

A Lead Technician is responsible for showing how to operate vehicles in a safe and legal manner, demonstrating and promoting knowledge and competence, and supporting colleagues in their personal development. By joining us in this role, you’ll provide a lead on all regulations regarding vehicle maintenance and management.

What will I do as a Customer Delivery Lead Technician?

Within this role, you will:

  • Coach and mentor colleagues who are aspiring to progress within their roles
  • Complete wall mounted TV and lighting installations in customers’ homes
  • Provide the lead amongst Partners in the on-going search for ways of safely running the customer delivery operation
  • Work closely with the Operational Technical and Development team to ensure changes to proposition are communicated to the wider team

If you’re customer focused, with the right skills and experience needed for completing installation/assembly services in customers’ homes, then you’ll be a good fit for this role. As a Lead Technician, you’ll need a high degree of technical competence and a desire to develop performance for yourself, colleagues and the business.
