Whether you’re in a John Lewis or Waitrose warehouse, we require Drivers, Warehouse Assistants, Managers, Administrators and a variety of people to work in our Logistics operation.
There are three Waitrose Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) in Bracknell, Aylesford and Leyland. All three sites operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You’ll also find a Transport department and a Vehicle Workshop at these three loactions too.
Bracknell RDC in Berkshire has three warehouses: Ambient (for storage of long-life products), Fruit & Vegetables and Chilled.
Aylesford RDC operates on over 40 acres of land just off the M20 in Kent. The site comprises three warehouses: Ambient (for storage of long-life products), Fruit & Vegetables and Chilled.
Leyland RDC is our newest distribution centre, which opened in 2013. The site is 420,000 square feet and is located just off the M6 in Lancashire.
There are lots of opportunities within our warehouses and each role has a set of specific skills/ experience that you’ll need to be aware of before you apply. However wherever you join us, you’ll need to be the type of person that’s efficient and willing to take accountability to get the job done. We can only be successful if we’re totally joined up.
Here’s a quick overview of the type of roles we have:
Warehouse Assistants receive and store products, pick individual branch orders and then load the goods onto a trailer ready for distribution to our branches.
Our Transport team meets our complex branch delivery schedules.
Stock Controllers liaise with our buyers and place orders with suppliers so our warehouses are sufficiently stocked.
Planners think how we develop our distribution operation, as new branches open or special projects happen.
Engineers maintain and repair our mechanical equipment, including our refrigeration equipment.
Managers are responsible for specific areas within warehouse operation, logistics and support.
