Portrait of a John Lewis Employee

About the role

As a Capacity Analyst, you will create accurate and high quality planning and performance insight and modelling from multiple inputs and data streams to support choices about how best to utilise our network and to drive decision making across a range of activity and timescales, both within Supply Chain and in Trading and Shops.
You will highlight risks and conflicts and work with a broad network of stakeholders to support the resolution or management of these.
You will need to be able to interrogate and interpret complex and ambiguous data to create insight in an applied manner; you will script, code and model outputs and then present recommendations to a range of stakeholders.

You will create key data and insight which will:
● Inform future changes and development in our Supply Chain network
● Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and prioritise, recommend and drive change
● Forecast the perceived unknowns providing a view of what is to be expected in the future with accuracy.
● Form the basis of all operational decisions made in the Supply Chain, and across the business where the operational
impact and costs of change are being assessed and understood.
● Input into longer term development initiatives and projects.

You will work across the Supply Chain as well as with a range of stakeholders within the Partnership, and externally such as suppliers and third party logistics providers to ensure awareness of internal and external change and that analysis and recommendations are aligned to the overarching team and business strategy.
