In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 18:00 - 22:00 will attract an Evening Premium at a rate of £3.25 per hour, and any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract a Night Premium at a rate of £4.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Location - Avonmouth Regional Distribution Site

Hours/Shift Pattern - 6:00am – 2:00pm / 2:00pm – 10:00pm two week rota, Monday-Friday

There will be a regular call out rota normally a minimum of every other week required due to the site being operational 24/7/365 with a requirement to be available on the phone and able to get to site within an hour to manage the critical situation.
Key responsibilities

Strategic Delivery: Support the Section Manager in executing the maintenance business plan, ensuring site-wide assets are maintained to the highest standards through meticulous planning and delivery.

Operational Excellence: Foster a culture of high performance, setting clear benchmarks for delivery, ownership, Health & Safety, and customer service across all areas of responsibility.

Compliance & Risk Management: Guarantee strict adherence to legal, safety, and assurance requirements. Conduct regular compliance audits of both internal team and third-party contractor works to proactively mitigate operational risk.

Budget & Resource Stewardship: Assist in budgetary control for revenue and service procurement, actively evaluating the cost-benefit of in-house versus contractor delivery with strict financial restraint.

Technical Asset Management: Oversee the timely delivery of all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks in line with SFG20 standards, ensuring accurate documentation of all remedial actions.

Stakeholder & Contractor Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, specialist contractors, and on-site third parties.

Project & Sustainability Support: Maintain full awareness of site-wide maintenance projects to ensure safe delivery while actively supporting the Partnership’s carbon reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need
-
Operational Experience: Demonstrated experience in a distribution or warehouse maintenance environment.

Technical Qualifications: Time-served Electrician with relevant industry accreditation, or an equivalent professional qualification in HVAC systems.

Safety & Compliance Mindset: Comprehensive knowledge of site safety regulations (H&S legislation, Water Hygiene/Legionella control, LOLER, PUWER, Fire Safety) with a proven ability to manage audits and statutory records.

Technical & Digital Expertise: Knowledge of CDM regulations and maintenance CAFM systems for tracking work orders, alongside advanced proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).

Procurement & Financial Awareness: Proven understanding of the procurement lifecycle, including sourcing parts, managing supplier relationships, and adhering to budgetary controls.

Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective networks both internally and with external service providers.
Desirable skills/experience you may have

Digital Systems: Hands-on experience using CAFM systems (specifically Opuz) to manage PPM and reactive work orders.

Safety Certifications: IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.

Specialist Qualifications: SEMA qualified, IPAF qualified, or a current CSCS card holder.
