
About the role
As a Transport First Line Manager, you'll be managing Partners and agency across the Transport operation, helping to maintain the smooth running of our Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC). This is a 7-day-a-week operation where you will ensure productivity and key customer service levels are met within budget. You'll play an active role in motivating and leading your team.
Due to its nature, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role.
Working Pattern - 37.5 hours per week:

Earliest start time from 05:00 and latest finish time 23:00, Including weekend working.
Contract - This position is a Permanent role
Salary - £36,400 - £57,600 per annum
Key Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:
- Managing the performance, wellbeing and development of all Partners in your team, such as absence management, conduct management, formal and informal performance interventions.
- Optimising productivity and managing the usage of overtime and agency to improve costs.
- Delivering high quality Customer Service to Customers and Stakeholders at all times.
- Supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the department.
- Ensuring the safety of yourself and others by following all Legal, Health, and Safety procedures, EU Driving Regulations, and Operational procedures.
- Deputising for the Transport Manager when they are unavailable.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
- Proficient Transport knowledge of current EU and Working Time regulations.
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence, with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
- Experience of working in a management role in a Transport / E-Commerce environment.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience of dealing with full disciplinary procedures.
