Flexible Working: This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home (in the UK) and London Head Office / Bracknell Head Office.
However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises. Our Engineering team currently works from the office roughly twice a week to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings, but again the frequency is dependent on the business needs.

Your team
As a Lead Analyst, you'll be integrated into a dynamic, cross-functional team structure, which may be organised around a specific Product. These teams are built for end-to-end ownership, bringing together diverse expertise to solve complex challenges. You will collaborate closely with key roles such as a Product Manager, a Delivery Lead, Software Engineers and Quality Engineers. This setup fosters rapid iteration, shared accountability, and a direct impact on outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

As Lead Analyst within the Engineering profession, you will be a key enabler in the successful delivery of change within a Product team using comprehensively elicited and clearly defined requirements, as well as utilising methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.

This role involves engaging throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial discovery and shaping to the build and implementation phases, working closely with Product Managers, Project Managers, Delivery Leads, Architects, and other Engineers to ensure technical solutions align with business and operational objectives.

As well as eliciting and managing business, technical and operational requirements, you will be accountable for challenging scope and priorities to ensure optimal business value, understanding end-to-end business processes, identifying cross-team dependencies, and working with delivery teams on planning, prioritisation, and estimation.

As a Lead Analyst you will collaborate and share within the Analysis community as well as support other Analysts. You will work with a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders which will require excellent communication skills. Advocating for improved analysis approaches will also require strong stakeholder management capability.

Essential skills / experience you’ll need

Experience of delivering and supporting solutions in an IT Delivery and Operations Environment

Proven experience delivering change initiatives in a cross functional Product team

Proactive and autonomous, possessing the leadership skills necessary to independently drive analysis from concept through completion

Ability to manage competing priorities

Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills

A clear passion for innovation and change with demonstrable evidence of delivery of innovative change/disruptive thinking

Proven track record of extensive stakeholder management by establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with senior business and technical stakeholders

Experience of using a range of requirement elicitation techniques and identifying the most effective techniques for different programmes / projects / product teams

Experience of using a range of models to visualise complex problems within a given sphere (domain, technical, business) to build common understanding amongst different stakeholder groups.

Excellent communication and presentation skills and is confident in presenting and running workshops to large and diverse audiences.
Desirable skills / experience you may have

Experience of Retail IT Delivery and Operations in a Lean & Agile Environment

Domain Driven Design techniques such as Event Storming and Domain Modelling

BDD techniques such as Feature Injection and Story Mapping

Certifications (e.g. IIBA, BCS Diploma in Analysis)

Maintain current awareness of trends and shifts in technology and retail, applying this knowledge to relevant business and technology contexts.
