Nightshift – Supermarket Assistants
Our night shift Partners love what they do. Working nights might not be for everyone and may mean unsociable hours, but it can mean flexibility to fit around your commitments – and you’ll gain career satisfaction and be well rewarded with a shift premium in addition to your hourly pay rate (depending on hours worked). The benefits to becoming a Partner on top of this are outstanding.
The role will involve working flexibly as part of a team, ensuring stock is replenished and displayed to our high standards…overall you’ll be making sure the shopfloor is shipshape ready for when our customers arrive. It’s essentially the role of any other Supermarket Assistant without the customers!
We look for warm, reliable, team-players, who are flexible, amenable and can work at pace. We want people who appreciate what the Partnership and being a co-owner means and who are willing to work hard as a result. Bring all this and we’ll give you all the training you need to have a bright future with us.
We offer a range of shift patterns, from full-time to part-time, and also temporary and permanent opportunities in various locations across the UK – so there’s sure to be an opportunity here that fits around your lifestyle. Shifts are generally from 10pm until 6am, but will vary between branches and can be flexible depending on you.
There is a fantastic range of benefits that comes with joining the Partnership, first-off becoming a ‘Partner’ in a special business and along with this an annual profit-share bonus (in March 2016 every Partner took home an additional 10% of their earnings for the previous year, equivalent to more than five weeks’ pay). Plus 15% discount in Waitrose, 25% discount in John Lewis (after 3 months service), the opportunity to learn a new skill like sailing, or join a club or society like wine or music…or how about staying at one of 5 Partnership owned and run hotels. There are all these exciting benefits to becoming a Partner, plus much, much more.
