Our warehouse operatives are at the heart of our operations and are key to the Partnership’s success. Providing our customers with the best quality foods is all about getting it to the right place, at the right time, in the right conditions.
With over 350 Waitrose stores across the UK it’s no mean feat, but join our distribution operation and you’ll be helping to keep our supermarket and customer’s shelves stocked all across the UK. As an intrinsic part of the John Lewis Partnership, you’ll be able to enjoy our unique benefits, as well as training and development programmes.
There are three Waitrose Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) across the UK, located in Bracknell, Aylesford and Leyland.
All three sites operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide our customers with the high-quality produce that they expect from us. You’ll also find a Transport department and a Vehicle Workshop at these locations too.
- Our Bracknell RDC in Berkshire has three warehouses: Ambient (for storage of long-life products), Fruit & Vegetables and Chilled.
- Aylesford RDC operates over 40 acres of land just off the M20 in Kent; also comprised of Ambient, Fruit & Vegetables and Chilled warehouses.
- The newest addition to our distribution centres is our Leyland RDC, which opened in 2013. The site is 420,000 square feet and is located just off the M6 in Lancashire.
Each day at our warehouses presents new, unique, and exciting tasks for our Warehouse Partners. Interested in a behind the scenes peek at what a day in the life looks like at our Bracknell Regional Distribution Centre? Check out our video:
