John Lewis Financial Services are looking for an Insurer Relations Manager who will be responsible for the day to day activity of managing a motor and home panel of insurers. This individual will be responsible for the development and engagement of key insurer partnerships required to support the business plan and growth aspirations for both insurance products. The role demands an ability to quickly understand priorities, negotiate backlogs of work, establish operational processes and structures, with the aim to maximise competitiveness and scope.. You will be an ambassador and face for John Lewis Money (insurance products) , championing the customer and John Lewis as a whole.

In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £5.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team meet 1 day a week in the London head office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings.
Key responsibilities
● Engaging with insurers on a continuous basis to advance key initiatives and operational actions for both John Lewis and partner organisations.
● Managing internal stakeholders and overseeing action tracking to ensure accountability and adherence to established timelines.
● Assisting in the coordination and preparation of materials for insurer meetings, strategic reviews, and executive reporting.
● Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of commercial agreements, performance metrics, and key contacts.
● Escalating operational risks and strategic concerns to the Head of Insurer Relations and Commercial Lead as appropriate.
● Supporting the preparation of management reports, including detailed data analysis and insights.
● Establishing and sustaining effective professional relationships, providing rigorous stakeholder management across leadership teams.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need

Experience in insurance relations, preferably within the general insurance sector with a focus on car or home

Excellent direct and written communication skills

Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance metrics

Successfully manage multiple stakeholders at senior levels, and excellent influencing skills

Demonstrable experience working for an insurer / broker
