As a Local Events and Community Specialist for John Lewis, you will activate local events and community activities that enhance the customer experience and uphold our commitment to community well-being. In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £4.00 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Official Partnership Role Title: Local Events & Community Specialist
Position: This is an 8-month fixed-term.
Location: This role is based at Stratford (John Lewis) with travel to other locations as required.
Salary: From 01/04/26, the pay range will be £31,300 - £37,000, Annual. The offered salary will be based on experience.
Working Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours. Monday to Friday, working 09:30 to 18:00 with 1 in 4 Saturdays.
Key Responsibility
As our Local Events & Community Specialist, you will be:
- The go-to activator for your shop in local marketing, events and social impact activity.
- Collaborate with central teams and local stakeholders to deliver a relevant and inspiring calendar of events.
- Oversee local charity fundraising, including Community Matters and the John Lewis Partnership Foundation.
- Ensure all activities are safe and compliant with Health & Safety and GDPR.
- Act as a brand ambassador, building loyalty through exceptional personal service
Essential skills/experience, you'll need:

Prioritising, organising and planning multiple activities and projects at the same time

A background in customer-facing or service roles.

Previous experience managing diverse internal and third-party stakeholders.

Ability to make commercial decisions that balance the customer’s outcome with the brand's needs.
Desirable skills/experience, you may have:

Experience working in an agile and cross-matrix environment

Experience delivering events or marketing activity within a retail environment.

An understanding of social impact and the needs of local community groups.
