As a Distribution Data & Insight Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high quality data, reporting solutions, and actionable analysis across Waitrose Transport and Distribution.
In this new and pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted resource for the Supply Chain Leadership Team, Distribution Centres, third-party logistics providers (3PLs), and key central functions, providing the visibility and strategic insights needed to drive operational excellence and business success.
In addition to your contractual pay, any time worked between 22:00 - 06:00 will attract Night Premium at a rate of £5.25 per hour. This will also apply to existing Partners who have enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.

Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aims for 3 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings

Key Responsibilities:

Establish a comprehensive dashboard library and data catalogue, maintaining continuous improvement of coding and tables.

Manage and troubleshoot Transport and Warehouse KPIs, perform Warehouse Management and Transport Management System analysis to support key decision making, and facilitate the primary connection to the Partnership Data Platform team.

Oversee the Distribution reporting roadmap and develop end-to-end Supply Chain KPI scorecards to support transforming and modernising our supply chain.

Identify risks and opportunities through analytical support for Supply Chain reporting, while ensuring robust data governance and standardisation.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need

Relevant qualification in a numerate discipline e.g. Maths, Statistics, Data Science or similar

Experience in writing and optimising complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and manipulate large-scale datasets

Experience in building structured datasets and designing intuitive visualisation tools or dashboards

Ability to apply advanced analytical methods to complex and turn into actionable insight
Desirable skills/experience you may have

Experience of leveraging AI tools to debug code, automate repetitive tasks, and optimise analytical workflows

Experience of interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders

Experience of influencing decisions through the use of data and analytics

Experience of Supply Chain reporting and data analysis in a complex, Grocery retailer
