
About the role
As Deputy Manager at Leckford Hotels & Campsite , you will be central to our dynamic hospitality team, directing daily operations. Working in close partnership with the General Manager and department heads, you will strive to meet sales targets and enhance the overall customer experience, particularly within our catering services. This role involves taking ownership of sales strategies, identifying opportunities for business growth, and improving operational effectiveness. You will collaborate with the hotel leadership to champion innovative projects aimed at creating memorable guest experiences.

Salary - £38,000 - £57,500

Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract

Working pattern/flexible working - 37.5 hours per week a mix of shifts on a rota basis - Monday to Friday with alternate weekends

Location - This role is based in our Leckford Hotel Sites
Key responsibilities

Operational ownership of the day-to-day running of Leckford Abbas, lodges & camping & Longstock house

Overall responsibility for the food and beverage operation

Delivery of new initiatives in line with the business plan.

People management responsibilities, to include all areas of development and performance management for direct line reports.

Assist in developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies.

Work collaboratively with the managers of each department to deliver the business objectives

Monitor and maintain operational budgets and financial performance.

Oversee and enforce department leads policies and Measures of success

Customer satisfaction scores, sales & profit results, occupancy levels.

Successful implementation of new initiatives and increase in profit through increase in sales and/ or reduction in costs.

Profitable and cohesive food and beverage operation.

Partner development & performance, turnover and clear indication of empowerment and autonomy amongst direct line reports.

Smooth delivery of new initiatives, joined up approach across the club and overall success in line with business plan procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Essential skills/experience you’ll need

Experience in the hospitality sector at a senior level

Proven experience working within and leading a food and beverage operation

Leadership experience, communication, and interpersonal skills.

PC literate & ability to grasp numerous systems, including hotel booking programmes and Point of Sale.

Strong organisational, time-management & planning skills

Drive to deliver exceptional customer service

Food Hygiene Level 4 desired but not essential
