What’s the role about?
In this role you will supervise and manage the designated shift in their daily operations. You will ensure that adequate cover is provided, and that the quality and output of workmanship meets the appropriate standards to maintain effective fleet utilisation. You will also ensure that a high standard of workmanship and Health and Safety is maintained by Partners and Contractors.Shop floor operation of the early/late shift as appropriate and to stand in for the ASM refrigeration when required.
What will you be doing?- Manage/oversee contractors on site- CV maintenance and repairs including Mot preparation in line with the O’ licence requirements- Ensure health and safety measures are adhered to by all Partners- Coach and mentor the team, assisting with PDPs- Ensure inspection sheets & jobcards filled in correctly by team and defect tickets detailed and signed off- Ensure legal compliance within remit- Assist DM / SM workshop regarding best price procurement of quality parts- Manage/ oversee workshop standards & hygiene- Work alongside Central Transport administrator
What you'll have
City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle technician or equivalent qualification.
Demonstrated the ability to manage and lead engineering/industrial teamsExperience in dealing with Health & Safety and Transport legislation
