Purpose of the role:To provide administrative support for operational transport activities and initiatives and to be a proactive interface between CFC Customer Delivery Drivers and the Customer.To liaise with Customer Call Centres to support the best Customer Experience and to ensure that all Customer Experience lessons identified are highlighted and acted on.
About the role:
As a Transport Partner with our Waitrose Customer Fulfilment Centres, you will work flexibly to provide essential administration support to our Transport department, as well as helping out with operational activities when required. With ongoing communication to our team of Drivers, you will ensure that work is allocated effectively, vans are leaving on time and safely and that vehicle movements within the yard are coordinated. You will also ensure that our systems are updated accurately to record vehicle maintenance, safety and compliance and product dispatch and delivery data.
You will be accountable for:
Carrying out the process, practice and inspections that maintain our highest standards
Ensuring that all vehicles and drivers are legally compliant and carry out necessary due diligence support
Supporting drivers in achieving the right levels of Customer Experience and supporting a thorough and detailed communication between drivers and transport administration
Ensuring that all aspects of yard duty, van administration, debriefs and scheduling are adhered to and completed to an optimum standard
Supporting and promoting transport and driver related KPIs and being aware of how this tracks through to the Customer Experience and Commercial results
Supporting the other teams within the daily operation of the site when needed
Essential skills you'll need:● Experience using computer programs including Google sheets & docs● Customer Facing and issue resolution● Confident Customer Telephone manner
Desirable skills:● Experience working in an office or clerical role in a distribution / Transport environment● Previous experience of data processing and inputting
