37.5 hours per week. Shifts between 5am and 11pm.

The role requires flexibility of working patterns, including weekend, night and evening working on occasions, to meet the operation demands of a 24/7 network.

This role starts in February 2020 at our new Customer Fulfilment Centre in Enfield, which will process and deliver Waitrose & Partners orders across London from Spring 2020.

Please note: the interviews for this position will take place at our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Coulsdon, CR5 2HR in November 2019.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for managing Partners and Agency across the Transport operation within a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week operation.

Ensuring achievement of productivity and agreed key customer service levels within cost targets through a motivated team.

To ensure Health and Safety, EU Driving Regulations and all legislative and operational procedures are adhered to and Partners are treated fairly and with respect.

To deputise for the Transport Shift Manager in their absence

Continuous Improvement Level 1 Business Excellence Training
Excellent Transport knowledge of current EU and Working Time regulations
Experience of working in a management role in a Transport / Distribution environment
A good understanding of Health and Safety legislation
Experience of dealing with full disciplinary procedures
