Duties & Responsibilities

Waitrose Testing & Quality Assurance Team are currently seeking applications from experienced Test Managers to join them here at our Head Office in Bracknell.

Your responsibilities will include (not limited to) realisation of the overall test strategy and the delivery of anything labelled “test” for a large project. This will include accountability for resource management, product risk management and owning the test relationship with the project stakeholders.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have the following experience/skills:
- Demonstrable track record of delivering Testing of Retail IT Solutions
- Clear demonstrable leadership qualities as you will be leading large testing teams on and off shore, and working with large project stakeholder groups
- Able to clearly articulate product risk and implement risk based testing controls and workshops
- Experience of Waterfall or Agile methodologies of project delivery
- Excellent interpersonal skills including stakeholder management
- Ability to clearly articulate test status to stakeholders succinctly
- Able to couple Testing Techniques with Pragmatic approaches to project delivery
- Experience of working with third party managed service providers both on and off shore
- Experience of defining and implementing improvements to test processes, showing tangible benefits to project delivery.
- Advise on the available standards, methods, tools and applications relevant to own specialism and make correct choices from alternatives to non technical personnel.
- Ability to perform under pressure whilst focusing on the deliverables
- Demonstrate a high level of awareness of all business issues in own operational / project environment

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

Although not essential, the following skills/experience will be advantageous:
- Certified ISTQB Test Manager
- Experience in Oracle system integration
- Experience of JDA integration
- TMMi Professional Certification
- Experience of overseeing Automated testing frameworks
- Experience of Commercial contracting with third parties to deliver off the shelf solutions
- Carry out all activities, and produce deliverables, according to agreed development methodology.
- Produce high level and detailed estimates draw up and manage team plans, manage quality deliverables
- Work in an environment where targets move and situations are ambiguous.
