Duties & Responsibilities

Working as part of a team to ensure the efficient day to day running of the kitchen, producing menus to a high standard and taking responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef while maintaining sales, reputation and profit of the kitchen. Being flexible to work in different areas, if required, and to adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.

Job Requirements

The role of the Sous Chef involves assisting in the day to day running of the kitchen, working with the Head Chef to produce agreed menus to a high standard, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation at all times. Controlling stock, minimising wastage and developing effective working relationships with other departments. This role is subject to the following pre- employment screening: 3 year reference check

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
