Duties & Responsibilities

Ambleside Park is a 24 bedroom private hotel on the banks of Lake Windermere in the Lake District.

We provide great opportunities for Partners (employees) their families and friends to enjoy time away from work visiting our own hotels. Lodges and golf courses - situated in some of the most beautiful parts of the country. Run by Partners for Partners we ensure that the Total Guest Experience, whether for leisure or business, is the best it can be and exceeds expectation.

Working as part of a team to ensure the efficient day to day running of the kitchen, producing menus to a high standard and taking responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef while maintaining sales, reputation and profit of the kitchen. Being flexible to work in different areas, if required, and to adhere to health and safety requirements at all times.

Job Requirements

Ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation at all times, you'll have a passion for food and be motivated to invent, produce and present quality dishes. You'll manage food production and balance a passion for sales with the need to deliver profit through strict cost control.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Relevant professional chef qualifications: City & Guilds diplomas in professional cookery, BTEC HNC in professional cookery or equivalent.

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2
