This role is known internally as Senior UX Researcher, John Lewis Insight

Duties & Responsibilities

John Lewis is a special kind of retail business. It's owned entirely by us - the Partners.
With no shareholders to answer to, we're democratic and accountable to each other. We know that retail can be done differently - our 150 years of history proves that this works.

As Partners we are passionate about our mission to deliver great products, fantastic experiences and genuine value to customers. To make sure that we do, we're hiring talented Sr. UX Researchers to join a growing John Lewis Insight Research team, at our dedicated Central London lab.

We're people who are curious, engaging, highly skilled, commercial - and determined to have an impact in this fast-changing retail climate - if you are too, come and join us.

We offer you a great place to work, a superb expert team to work with, flexibility, responsibility and the opportunity to take your career in the direction that you want.

As UX Researcher, you will be responsible for making sure we always understand our end customers, conducting UX research to support all stages of the digital product life-cycle and using the full range of research methods.
Your mission is to produce actionable insight that's valuable across the broad range of our business areas.

You'll be planning, conducting and delivering high quality, innovative research. A typical week might include:

• Meeting stakeholders to discuss their projects and understand their needs
• Drawing up research plans to meet objectives and timescales
• Facilitating research sessions in our lab or in stores
• Producing reports and communicating findings to management teams
• Running workshops with stakeholders to explore next steps
• Linking with other specialists from the JL Insight team on strategic research projects

- Being an advocate for the culture of insight-led decision making in John Lewis
- Supporting a collaborative team environment and culture of self-development
