We have a number of different ways to work flexibly so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however, it may open the door to not only a new role but a new way of working.

Duties & Responsibilities

As Partners in Digital at Waitrose & Partners, we all play a part in creating amazing products and services our customers love and to help deliver the profitable growth that sustains the Partnership for the future. Everyday in every way our Partners set about to engineer amazing in Digital.

What's the role about?

Firstly you are a skilled and experienced end-to-end UX Designer with a portfolio to prove it. You will have worked from discovery stage to finished product, with a clearly defined process for each stage in between. You have a great eye for detail, are confident in your UX expertise and are able to communicate clearly and translate ideas to stakeholders and team members alike. Importantly, you know when a sketch is sufficient and a high fidelity prototype is overkill. In fact, you have a canny grasp on 'working lean' - you can create just enough to validate your work and get you to the next stage, while never wasting time or effort. The result? You are relentlessly delivering actionable insight - fast.

Those are the basics covered. But this role offers so much more. You'll be a talented people-person who can work within cross-functional teams and demonstrate experience of both designing and delivering products that span multiple touchpoints, at pace and using Lean, Agile and user-centred design methodologies.

You can inspire and motivate and get a kick out of bringing stakeholders and colleagues together to co-create greatness - exploring and defining what will delight the customer and achieve commercial success in equal measure. In essence, you'll be a champion and ambassador for the customer experience for our digital and offline touchpoints across the entire business. And you'll be rewarded with knowing you've positively influenced the design of a compelling suite of customer-loving products.

Why do our Senior UX Designers love working in the Partnership?

"I love working in a fast-paced team with exciting technologies and highly passionate people."

"It's great to work with like-minded people who have fun and get really excited about innovating and working in Digital."
