Duties & Responsibilities

Please note, this role sits within the Waitrose Digital team, rather than eCommerce.

Waitrose & Partners is in a very exciting place.

We have a rapidly expanding digital arm that is blending beautifully with our bricks and mortar to provide seamless and innovative customer experiences.

What are we looking for?

You are a skilled and experienced end-to-end Senior UI Designer, who has a portfolio to prove it. You can demonstrate working collaboratively to meet customer and business goals from concept to finished product; proactively ensuring quality and design standards are adhered to.

You have a great eye for detail and are able to communicate clearly and translate ideas to stakeholders and team members alike. Importantly, you are skilled with a range of visual outputs from sketches to high fidelity prototypes, with the ability to design interaction and motion/animation.

You will be comfortable working with a design system to ensure we make the most of the design kits, components and assets available, while creating new user-centred
design solutions.

You will be confident working within a cross-functional team and will demonstrate experience of both designing and delivering digital products within a delivery team, at pace, using Lean, Agile and design methodologies.

You will be a UI design expert and brand guardian, actively driving consistency and accessibility standards across all of our digital touchpoints, motivated by the knowledge you have positively influenced the design of a compelling suite of products that you can be proud of.
