We are currently revolutionising our Home Insurance offer, bringing this in-house from our previous suppliers, and forming our own strategic partnerships with third parties to deliver a top-quality and trusted offer for our loyal customers.
We’re looking for an experienced financial services professional to create, deliver and drive the Partnership’s Home Insurance vision, strategy and operational & customer plan with full P&L accountability. You’ll own the full product lifecycle and P&L, leading a cross-functional team and product ecosystem of leading 3rd party providers to, delivering a customer-focused, market disruptive product.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Commercial Manager, Home Insurance
Set clear intent, direction and guardrails to achieve outcomes, aligned to the Partnership strategy.
Empower and support Partners through a team of managers to make decisions and resolve challenges.
Leverage insight and internal and external networks to keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and trends, including technological advancements.
Own business processes, frameworks and tools within your area, continuously improving them to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Set and deliver the strategy and annual plan balancing customer and commercial objectives
Full accountability for all elements of the P&L.
Own and drive the proposition, product lifecycle and identification of new commercial opportunities and market leading customer experiences.
Effectively task manage a cross-functional team including, Professions and external Third Party providers to deliver the agreed objectives
Work across the Partnership to drive profile and integrate the product into the broader business to realise the maximum opportunity
Own the day-to-day commercial relationships with all key Third Party providers
Responsible for compliance with John Lewis policies & procedures within the legal and regulatory framework
Extensive Financial Services experience, ideally in Insurance (broker or direct)
Leadership of complex matrix delivery teams (internal and 3rd party)
Significant relationship management (external and internal)
Digital channel development
Strong negotiation and influencing skills
