The core location or "hub" for the team will be Bracknell and all successful applicants will be expected to spend time in this location each week. However, partners in the CoPRA team can be home based in either London or Bracknell with travel required to each to meet the requirements of the role.

Duties & Responsibilities

As a Senior Analyst within Financial Management Information Support (FMIS) you will be part of the Partnership's new Centre for Planning, Reporting and Analysis. Your role will be to:

- Develop new planning, reporting and analytical capability for Finance and its stakeholders;
- Manage and continuously improve processes and controls that support the integrity and value of the data and information we use;
- Act as a technical expert both internally within Finance but also externally on behalf of Finance

Job Requirements

In particular you will help us take advantage of new cloud technologies available to us so that we can manage Finance's data and information in a fundamentally more agile and beneficial way. You will play a pivotal role in designing and building data models to support the Partnership's Planning, Reporting and Analytical processes and help guide others to exploit them.

You might be a Finance professional with experience with data and technology, or someone with an analytical or technology background who knows they can add value within a Finance environment.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

- Understanding of Finance Data Models and how a data model influences reporting integrity
- Advanced technical skills or aptitude - i.e. exploitation of common tools such as Excel or Business Objects; familiarity with data manipulation tools or languages (ie SQL; R or Python); experience of report or output development with visualisation or analytical tools (eg Tableau, Qlik, SAS, OBIEE, SAP Cloud Analytics)
- Ability to assimilate, comment on and make proposals which impact data quality and business intelligence
- Ability to work at pace and evaluate and manage risk
- A reasonable understanding of Finance process and method and Financial data
- Accountancy qualification or equivalent relevant qualification; or qualified through significant demonstrable and relevant experience to the role

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

- Significant experience in data modelling and manipulation including the design of data schemes and the use of relational databases/warehouses/platforms
- Working knowledge and experience with Google Big Query, Google Data Prep
- Familiarity with ETL tools and processes
- Advanced use of statistical methods, testing or analytical methods
