Hours of Work Either 42 hrs per week, 4 on / 4 off, rotating between shifts of; 07:00-19:00 then 19:00-07:00, or I can consider a 40 hour per week shift that covers 5 weekdays on either 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 or 22:00-06:00


Whats the Role about

Enforce and be fully conversant with Partnership policy, security operating procedures, Aylesford Site Rules and emergency response, maintaining the integrity of site security with regard to all Partners, agency workers and visitors, offering advice, support and guidance in relation to safety and security.

Support the operation by maintaining accurate access control processes at the gatehouse and all pedestrian entry/ exit locations, adopting an inquisitive approach, particularly whilst operating the CCTV system and when patrolling all areas of the property, reporting anything suspicious or out of place, damage or deliberate attempts to gain entry.

Assist with the prevention and detection of theft and crime by monitoring site stock operations and collate evidence of suspected dishonesty, fraud, threats, loss, wastage or misappropriation of assets as directed by the Security Manager, in accordance with Partnership policy and the law.

To adhere to all Health and Safety and Operational procedures and conduct themselves according to the Partnership's principles.

To complete all incident and accident reporting and handover documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Be fully conversant with, and respond to all security and safety equipment, including CCTV and fire alarm systems.

To work within other areas/ departments within the RDC as requested by Management, attending regular communication meetings and report any operational issues to an SSP or the Security Manager

Perform security searching of Partners, visitors and contractors to the site, to include lockers and commercial or privately owned vehicles on Partnership property.

To ensure all personnel procedures are adhered to and completed as required.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and operate within the guidelines of the Partnership ISI policy, the Data Protection Act and GDPR.

To keep up to date with Partnership news by reading notice boards and the Partnership’s editorials

This role would suit somebody who:

  • Demonstrates excellent Partnership behaviours and values

  • Understand the basics of Health ans Safety procedures
  • Is reliable and punctual
  • Has the ability to accept and adapt to change

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous SIA licence holders

Essential Experience

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic IT skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous security industry experience
  • Knowledge of computer based CCTV and access control systems
