What's the role about?
As the Security Engagement Manager you will ensure that there is a clear plan for both internal and external engagement on topics relevant to the security profession. This includes ensuring that all Partners understand their responsibilities and how to work with the Security Profession.
You will lead on the response to Partner safety, engaging with stakeholders from across the Partnership to ensure that there is a robust action plan in place which is being actively delivered.
You will seek to understand what external forums or working groups are available for our industry, and ensure that there is effective engagement from our function in their activities where this provides value for the Partnership. You will then ensure that learnings from these engagements are documented and converted into actions as appropriate.
Establishing and continuously improving cross-Security working groups to bring together Partners across the Security profession with similar accountabilities to ensure that they are effectively engaging one another and sharing best practice. These working groups will also include attendance from Partners from other functions where they need to engage multiple Partners within our profession. You will ensure that these meetings are effective and that the right conversations are taking place.
You will be responsible for all benchmarking activity across the Security Profession, ensuring that outputs are relevant and understood. You will share the outputs with other Partners as necessary, to influence their strategic direction.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading, planning and delivering engagement activities to support specific outcomes, business sponsors and/or missions on behalf of the CISO function.
Developing an understanding of multiple business areas to understand the Security needs of those areas. You will combine this insight with your knowledge of the external environment to feed into the CISO Education & Awareness Strategy.
Using your change methodology to identify the most appropriate people engagement interventions when addressing needs or specific areas of cultural change.
Supporting Partners in the CISO function in their engagement with industry forums by ensuring there is relevant and proportionate participation, gathering insight and intelligence and coordinating any involvement.
Developing a detailed understanding of the Partner Safety agenda. Supporting the conversation both internally and externally to ensure that we have positive engagement in the topic.
Owning the day-to-day activity for Benchmarking, and the effective use of its outputs
Prepares reports/papers on industry position/ viewpoints which are shared across the Partnership with the right level of influence.
Supporting the delivery of internal steering committees by identifying where they are necessary and who should attend, setting agendas with the input of attendees, preparing papers, taking minutes, and co-ordination the completion of actions. You will ensure that the right discussion takes place and that there are tangible outputs to the discussion which add value to the Partnership.
What you’ll have:
Experience interfacing with third parties
Ability to understand data analytics
Ability to run and interpret benchmarking
Proven ability to influence behavioural change using clear verbal and written communication
Proven stakeholder management experience working with senior leadership
What else you could bring:
Awareness of external industry trends
Subject Matter Expertise in at least one area (Health & Safety, Cyber Security or Profit Protection)
