What you’ll be doing:

Warehouse Duties-  

  • Responsible for Warehouse Operations 

  • Using specific systems for Warehouse Management

  • Management of linking operation between site and selling branches 

  • Liaise with and build selling branch and supplier relationships 

  • Managing shrinkage

  • Achievement of KPIs

  • Liaise with RDSD (Retail & Distribution Service Desk) to resolve stock problems 

 

Section Manager Duties-

  • Managing resources and motivating Partners to deliver the Partnership Plan, also including managing any third parties involved. 

  • Responsible for management of site health and safety 

  • Inspiring a culture of safe working practice 

  • Applying health and safety management standards effectively across the department, enabling a safe working environment and meeting legislative requirements 

  • Perform Head of Branch (HOB) duties in the absence of the Site Lead 

  • Supporting the Customer Delivery element of the site operation

  • Ensuring the resource levels for the site are correct based on forecasted delivery volume 

  • Where needed, liaising with appointed agencies to support staffing levels Management and analysis of site reporting, site compliance and site audits

  • Drive the site performance of On Time In Full (OTIF)

 

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience of Warehouse Operations would be beneficial 

  • Previous experience in managing or leading a team

 

What else you may bring:

  • Duty manager or key holder for a site 

  • Risk management (e.g. health and safety, seasonal planning),

  • Previous Customer Service Experience

  • Leadership skills

  • Stakeholder management

  • Communication skills - verbal and written,

  • IT Skills (Microsoft office/ Google Docs etc), warehousing experience.

  • Knowledge of Delivery Operations

  • Driver CPC
