Our Purpose
Working in Partnership for a happier world – our shared Purpose that guides us in everything we do and inspires 3 important principles; happier people, happier business, happier world. The John Lewis Partnership is a truly unique business, one that seeks to make a positive difference to the lives of everyone.
What's the role about?
The role is temporary and based entirely on the Leckford Estate in Hampshire and will last as long as it takes to complete the 1,600 acre arable harvest and perform basic primary cultivations. The working hours will be fairly typical for an arable farm during harvest and will be largely dictated by the weather and the need to seize all available opportunities to get the harvest in. Thus long working days (well into the evening) and 7 day a week working may be necessary on occasions.
To assist the arable team with preparations for the cereal harvest (grain store cleaning, hand-roguing of seed crops) and the harvest itself (mostly grain-carting). Some post-harvest field-work/cultivations will also be part of the role as well as helping out across the wider farming department and estate.
