We have an exciting opportunity with a brand new role to join Dishpatch as a Product Development Assistant, reporting into our Head of Food Product.
Waitrose & Partners recently acquired Dishpatch, the meal-kit delivery service that provides restaurant-quality home dining made by some of the UK’s leading chefs.
So, what is Dishpatch? Dishpatch replicates a restaurant experience without leaving the house with chef-prepared dishes. Customers can choose from over 30 Dishpatch menus delivered to their doorstep nationally on Fridays – perfect timing for an indulgent weekend meal! Unlike other meal kit companies, Dishpatch’s dishes come pre-prepared with only a few simple steps to finish and serve, truly taking the hassle out of high-end home dining for our customers.
About the role
Salary range: £24,000 - £31,900
Contract type: Permanent
Interviews: in person w/c 31st March
Location: Our Dishpatch base in North Greenwich, London (likely 4 days per week)
The Dishpatch base in North Greenwich is conveniently located near to the tube station or if driving, a few minutes from the Blackwall Tunnel with on site parking.
Dishpatch provides Michelin star food in the post. We’ve spent almost 5 years building the business working with some of the top leading UK chefs, bringing this exceptional quality food, direct to peoples homes.
Key responsibilities
We are looking for a Product Development Assistant to support the Food Product team in delivering menu strategies and product development to agreed deadlines.
You will be assisting with product development activities including testing dishes and building recipes, menu launches, project administration, sales and feedback analysis and appropriate communications such as updates, reports and presentations.
The role will work across the development kitchen and office, supporting the small Food Product team in the journey of launching menus.
This will be a hugely varied role, and would require someone with strong attention to detail, great communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Essential skills/experience you’ll need
Kitchen experience or culinary training
Knowledge and passion for food
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Good organisational skills
Desirable skills/experience you may have
Recipe testing and development
Worked with a central recipe database or with building specs & recipes
Business-related knowledge
Experience reporting & analysing data
