At a glance:

  • Salary range - The budgeted salary range for this role is set at £33,800 - £38,000 (dependant on experience)

  • Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract

  • Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The PPC team aims for around 1 day a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. 

  • Location - This role is based at our Victoria Head Office campus. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role. 

  • Please note, The normal place of work for this role is Victoria, London pending the relocation of the London office to Pimlico during the summer of 2024 after which the normal place of work will become Pimlico, London.

About the role:

As a Senior Paid Search Executive you will support the planning, optimisation and execution of the paid search strategy.

You will operationally support in-house paid search campaigns to drive marketing efficiency whilst supporting market share ambition and customer conversion.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the PPC accounts for one of the main product categories within John Lewis (Fashion, Home, Technology)

  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance, proactively identifying and acting on areas of opportunity.

  • Continually looks to deliver, improve and understand best in class campaign execution. Test and learn to capture early competitive advantage and ensure robust hypotheses deliver insightful results. Supporting in the delivery of insight and execution pre and post campaigns / activity.

  • Working and interacting with stakeholders both within the business and external suppliers.

  • Collate regular analysis and KPI reporting to tell the story focusing on key learnings, provide market context or future opportunities which will assist in quick decision-making to mitigate risk. Utilises any available tools to anticipate the strategies of competitors and predict market trends; feeding insights into the team.

Essential skills you’ll need: 

  • Demonstrate recent PPC experience, including Google Shopping.

  • Data analysis, including strong excel knowledge.

  • Experience working with bid management software.

  • Experience of reviewing performance data and providing useful insights.

Desirable skills you’ll have:

  • Knowledge of other digital marketing channels.

  • Confident working and interacting with other teams both internal and external.

  • Experience optimising a product feed.

  • SA360 experience.
