At a glance:

  • Salary range - The budgeted salary range for this role is set at £26,600 - £31,000 (dependant on experience)

  • Contract type - This position is a Permanent contract

  • Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The PPC team aims for around 1 day a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. 

  • Location - This role is based at our London Head Office campus. Please note, any cost incurred as a result of travel to the office is the responsibility of the successful candidate. There is no travel allowance for this role.

  • Please note, The normal place of work for this role is Victoria, London pending the relocation of the London office to Pimlico during the summer of 2024 after which the normal place of work will become Pimlico, London.

About the role:

​Our Paid Search team has an exciting opportunity for a Paid Search Executive to join them on a permanent basis. As a Paid Search Executive at John Lewis, you will be supporting the team to deliver best in class paid search advertising campaigns, driving profitable traffic to the John Lewis website. You will be enthusiastic about digital marketing and the part it plays in delivering sales and profit for the business, and have a willingness to learn and develop your knowledge and skills in paid search.

Key responsibilities  / what will you be doing?: 

  • ​Support the planning, optimisation and execution of the paid search strategy.

  • ​Implement day to day optimisations to Paid Search campaigns and assist in the development of accounts through keyword research, ad copywriting, URL testing and optimising landing pages.

  • ​Support the team to drive marketing efficiency, delivering against KPI’s.

  • ​Seek new ways to test and develop new initiatives that will realise improved performance now or in the future.

  • ​Continually look to deliver, improve and understand best in class campaign execution. Test and learn to capture early competitive advantage.

  • ​Contribute and support continual improvement in team performance of self and others, cultivating a collaborative and motivated team environment. Fostering a positive team culture.

Essential skills you’ll need: 

  • Passion for Digital Marketing and a basic understanding of paid search.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • ​Knowledge of the latest developments within paid search.

  • Highly analytical & numerical.

  • Attention to detail.

Desirable skills you’ll have:

  • Demonstrate any recent PPC experience.

  • Strong Excel skills.

  • Understanding the importance of reviewing performance data and providing useful insights.

  • ​Experience dealing with stakeholders.
