We have an exciting opportunity for a 12-month fixed-term contract working in our People team.

What’s the role about?

This role is all about making sure we have fantastic propositions that our Partner’s value and policies that help our business and Partners thrive. It’s about identifying opportunities where we might want to be market-leading but also adapting and refining policies to ensure their relevance as the business grows and changes. 

The role plays a critical part in ensuring we are compliant, treating Partners fairly and lawfully. 

The breadth of topics is vast so you will always have the opportunity to learn something new or challenge yourself. 

What will you be doing? 

In this role you will work with a wide group of stakeholders internally and externally, bringing in outside perspectives and trends into the development of your work. This will include being a member of professional groups such as Retail Network and other specialist  HR professional groups as well as developing strong relationships with our Partnership networks. 

You will work across 20 of our Partnership standards ensuring they are compliant, competitive, and fit for purpose, supporting the Partnership and People plans.

The role requires you to manage a cycle of policy reviews as well as thinking longer-term about the future needs of Partners and the Partnership. 

You will also be a policy SME, acting as an escalation point and supporting our People Function accordingly. Responses to gazette letters or questions from around the business will be a regular part of your job. 

What you'll need to have

Be an expert in HR law and policy.

CIPD, Diploma in HR Management, or Employment law qualification.

Good understanding of employee benefits and experience of developing and assuring policies and propositions.

Good knowledge of the HR lifecycle experience in managing stakeholder relationships.
