The Salary for this role is up to £41 500, plus potential overtime

The shift pattern is Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30, 37.5 Hours a Week

Our Vehicle Technicians play a vital role in keeping our fleet of vehicles maintained and on the road, meaning our stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the John Lewis Partnership Commercial Vehicle Fleet (van, truck and trailer) in line with Central Transport maintenance strategy

  • Repairing and maintaining Waitrose fleet vehicles in line with manufacturers specifications

  • Working within a growing team assisting the Panel and Paintshop

  • Repairing, metal, plastics and fibreglass

  • Helping with the development of apprentice technicians

What you'll have:

  • City and Guilds 1,2,3 Vehicle Body Repair or  NVQ/QVS equivalent qualification

  • LGV (Large Goods Vehicle) C+E driving licence Full UK driving licence

  • A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs, 

  • A proven background in all aspects of panel beating, filling, fibreglassing, pin pulling, steel and aluminum MIG welding

  • A knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and road-worthiness

 

What else could you bring?

  • Class 1 or 2 driving licence

  • Experience in vinyl application, Tail lift repairs, Roller shutter repair and replacement

  • Good interpersonal and IT skills
