What you’ll be doing as a Nursery Assistant (Retail)
Working with Nursery partners to develop sales in the Garden Shop
Working with the Nursery and Landscaping teams to fulfill customer orders
Liaising with suppliers, placing orders and stock control
Gaining understanding of the bespoke EPOS system
Compliance with procedures and standards

What you’ll have
Retail Experience & a passion for excellent customer service
Willingness to learn in an Indoor/outdoor Nursery environment
Desirable experience skills and qualifications in retail / horticulture
What else can you bring
Certificate in Horticulture desirable
Retail experience essential
The primary function of this role is to maintain and develop the retail offer of the Garden Shop within the Nursery, Assisting in sourcing suppliers, maintaining working relationships with existing contacts, finding new innovative products to enhance the range of products available. This is a customer service role involving working with Nursery Specialists to exceed customers needs in a busy and demanding environment, excellent standards of service will be expected to represent the Waitrose brand. Some lifting and carrying of items for customers will be necessary as a delivery service is offered in the Nursery. All relevant training will be given. To drive sales, customer service and profit at the nursery. To highlight the nursery and its position within the wider JLP horticulture business providing profitable support and solutions to horticulture projects where possible
