Our Engineering Team provides 24x7 seamless engineering support to 5 million square feet of state-of-the-art semi-automated warehouses and Distribution Network buildings - critical in ensuring systems, infrastructure and automation deliver effective availability for online sales and store replenishment fulfilment. 

This is achieved by delivering planned and reactive engineering regimes to provide a safe and efficient operational environment, contributing to the success of network engineering business objectives, where availability and service-level are pivotal to site performance, network proposition now representing 85% of online sales fulfilment across estate assortments.

What will you be doing?

The Engineering Shift Coordinator supports the Building Operations Manager, supporting Capital Projects and BAU network engineering functions. To contribute fully to the successful implementation and delivery of departmental objectives resulting in robust and timely end-to-end engineering procurement and finance reporting. 

You will also be managing team rosters, holiday planning and development for a team of over 60 Engineering Partners across the business. This role provides substitute cover for any Compliance Coordinator absence to ensure due diligence is maintained with contractors. 

As a part of providing 24x7 support, the role involves working in shifts, travelling across locations and working weekends as a part of rota and during peak periods and dedicated shutdown maintenance activities. 

What you'll have

  • Essential qualifications / experience
  • A-Level / NVQ Level 3 Qualified (Minimum). English and Mathematics
  • Good level of IT fluency - Windows, Google, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sharepoint.
  • Ability to work in a methodical and organised manner.
  • Proactive with ability to work on own initiative.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Successful candidates will possess a combination of professional qualifications and office experience.
  • Confidentiality is paramount within this role and you will need to understand the need for discretion

  • Autodesk and Concerto Applications
  • Project  management experience.
  • Use of accompanying software suites, with ability to build asset registers and inventory.
  • Ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and reporting tools
