Waitrose and Partners have a fantastic opportunity for a Network and Capacity Lead (Analytics) to join the Merchandising Operations team on a fixed term contract until January 2024 to supercharge our analytical capability. 

What’s the role about?

In this highly analytical role you will create data sets and use analytical  tools to maximise and optimise stock flow within Waitrose from Supplier to Warehouse to Branch. 

Acting as the link between our Distribution operation and our Retail function, you will interrogate and analyse large amounts of data to influence your stakeholders and inform decision making. 

You will play a crucial role in the transition of Merchandising Operations into BAU and will upskill our team of Analysts to deliver efficiencies and embrace new ways of working.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of collating and manipulating data within a large organisation, is able to challenge and influence a broad range of stakeholders of varying seniority and is able to upskill and empower a team.

What will you be doing as Network and Capacity Lead (Analytics)?     

  

Some of the accountabilities for this role are:

  • Driving working practices across Merchandising that are customer focused and lead to consistently high standards of operational performance and enhanced profitability

  • Identifying Continuous Improvement opportunities and supporting the implementation of process improvements

  • Using data and insight produced by the Network and Capacity Analysts to make informed decisions where necessary, engaging with relevant stakeholders at the right time

  • Leading on communications to Supply Chain, Retail and Merchandising regarding planned stock flow for key events and seasons

  • Leading Merchandising plans to accommodate network changes and other implementations in Supply Chain, ensuring KPI impact is mitigated

  • Ensure inbound capacity guardrails are adhered to.

What you'll have:

  • Proven experience of influencing and negotiating across directorates to drive efficiency

  • Proven experience in data analysis and decision making
