This is a Regional role covering the West Sussex and Hampshire area. (Chichester, Gosport, Havant, Southsea & Waterloovile branches)
Additional support may be required to assist across the Shop Trade Operations Group - therefore regional travel will be required.
The role has a call-out rota (every 6 weeks) which covers South East Region.

Duties & Responsibilities

The role of the Multi Skilled Technician is to support the maintenance function doing designated planned preventative maintenance and carrying out change work. This role may occasionally require some out of hours work.
The Multi-skilled Technician will help maintain the building fabric, doing minor repairs as needed and managing all administration. The role holder will undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance including Roof Checks, Fire Alarm tests, Sprinkler Tests, and all door-related works, Generator Tests, shutter maintenance, battery care, dock levellers maintenance, and air handling unit maintenance plus associated record keeping.

The role also involves reactive maintenance, including general building repairs to building fabric, painting, minor shopfitting, lamp replacement and joinery repairs. Proven experience in Building Environmental, HVAC (Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning) and refrigeration within the maintenance industry is required.

Job Requirements

- Respond to minor maintenance requests, reactive and urgent maintenance issues as directed by call centre or MOM
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance as assigned schedules
- Ensure costs are minimised and agreed levels of service are achieved
- Provide out of hours support when required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- To support the business in delivering the Partnerships carbon reduction programme

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

City & Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 (or JIB approved), or NVQ equivalent
• To hold 17th edition IEE wiring regulations certificate
• Full and clean driving license with minimum of 3 years experience
• To hold a relevant City and Guilds qualification or is able to demonstrate competency in a range of general building skills including:

• Carpentry
• Plumbing
• Decorating
• Bricklaying
• Plastering
• Tiling
• Flooring repairs

Experience:-
• Minimum of Five Years Experience in Building Services Maintenance
