What’s the role about?

We are looking for an experienced Merchandiser to join our Technology team and deliver commercial and customer success of a product range through range planning and agile in-season trading. You will get the right product, in the right place, time, quantity and price. We are keen to hear from potential employees who can live our values and have the skills and experience to bring value to the Partnership. 

What will you be doing?

You will use your analytical and commercial skills to plan and optimise the best range for customers within your category. Working under the guidance of your Category Lead, you will deliver your agreed Key Performance Indicators including; sales, profit, stock, skus, availability, margin and risk management.

You will maximise opportunities as they arise and lead the in-season trading to potentialise the outcome for both customers and your category.

You will analyse commercial inputs to develop, with the Buyer, the best range of products supported by effective and comprehensive range planning and pricing architecture to deliver market leading assortments.

You will be accountable for accurately planning and forecasting sales, stock, profit and SKUs for the Category Lead and Trade Planning team.

What you’ll have

  • Demonstrable experience in Forecasting & Planning, WSSI and stakeholder management 

  • Highly creative with proven experience in trading complex, fast paced categories.

  • Demonstrable passion for retail and an understanding of merchandising trends and best practices

What else you could bring

  • Experience in working with technology would be an advantage

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  • Strong listening, presentation and decision making skills

  • The ability to plan and review workload regularly, prepared to adapt to changing circumstances

  • Experience in using data to identify risks and opportunities and advising recommendations to inform decision making

  • Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
