What’s the role about?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Merchandiser within the Fashion space to join the team at John Lewis & Partners.
Within this role you will be accountable for the commercial and customer success of specific product ranges, as well as supporting an environment of collaboration and teamwork. To achieve this, the right candidate will have experience both analytical and commercial within the Merchandising sector, in order to plan and optimise the best ranges for customers through effective range planning and forecasting of assortment sales
They will also have the ability to develop strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the right ‘Open To Buy’ parameters meet commercial and customer targets, which will support departmental success.
As a Partner within the business, the successful candidate will also support our Partnership purpose and democratic principles, by constructively participating in co-ownership, and demonstrating to customers and each other that it is a better way of doing business. They will also actively share knowledge, experiences, ideas and opinions to improve the Partnership, always speaking honestly and frequently.
What will you be doing?
Accurately forecast sales, stock, profit and SKU each season, by channel
Alongside Buyer, propose product ranges and branch grading to the Category Lead, and Head of Category Proposition Group (CPG)
Collaborate with Buyer to prepare and share Standardised Range Plans, in line with the critical path, to Product Operation Teams
Collaborate with suppliers to review production plans
Manage Open to Buy (OTB), options and stock plans for assortment, whilst supporting operational efficiency through planning the flow of stock
Input data into Weekly Sales Stock Intake (WSSI) incl. availability and stock levels, identifying and handling gaps between forecasts and trading actuals
Propose Balance To Achieve (BTA) for the assortment each month, in collaboration with the Buyer, to the Category Lead
Liaise with CPG Trading Operations to capitalise on commercial opportunities, control stock levels, and manage delivery schedules within agreed targets whilst delivering KPIs
What you'll have:
Proven experience in Forecasting & Planning
Experience in WSSI management
Experience in managing both internal and external stakeholders
Experienced within Fashion space

Experienced in Google Suite
Excellent excel skills
