  • Working pattern/flexible working - We know flexible working is important to you, and it is important to us too. The Partnership has adopted a blended working approach meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The Merchandiser team aims for between 1-2 days a week in the office to connect and on a more ad-hoc basis to attend key meetings but again, are flexible on this. The role is based at our Victoria campus.

  • Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £29,800.00 - 44,200.00 

  • Contract type - Permanent

About the role

 In this role, you will be working closely with your Buyer under guidance of your Category Lead to plan and optimise the best range for customers within your area in a Bath Shop & Utility. Through analysing commercial inputs and ensuring effective range planning and price architecture to deliver market leading assortments. 

Ensuring that we plan the most efficient stock flow throughout the category, maximising opportunities as they arise to potentialise the outcome for both customers and your category and ensure the delivery of agreed KPIs (including; sales, profit, stock, SKUs, availability, margin and risk management). Liaising with CPG Trading Operations to capitalise on commercial opportunities, controlling stock levels and managing delivery schedules within agreed targets whilst delivering KPIs.

You will be accountable for: Inputting Weekly Sales Stock Intake (WSSI), Accurately planning and forecasting sales, stock, profit and SKUs for the Category Lead and Trade Planning team. With support from your Category Lead, you will also be accountable for forecasting assortment sales, margin KPIs, deciding Open to Buy parameters that meet commercial and customer targets. Ensuring the commercial success of the product range through effective range planning and agile in-season trading, using analysis and reporting from Product Operations. 

 

You will form strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to manage the flow of stock and control availability; ensuring strong availability whilst minimising inventory and supply chain costs. In a fast-paced and agile working environment, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders such as Buyers, Category Leads, Heads of Merchandising, Supply Chain, Trade Planning, Sourcing, Trading Operations team and Design and Product Technology teams.

Key responsibilities & Essential skills you’ll need

  • Experience in planning and ranging

  • Proven experience of in season trading

  • Demonstrative ability to use Excel 

  • Proven experience of analytical and data analysis skills

  • Good knowledge of supplier/retailer relationships

  • Experience of dealing with a diverse and extensive assortment of product

  • Be motivated and be able to work collaboratively with the team
