John Lewis & Partners is one of Britain's most prestigious retail brands. Our reputation for exemplary products and services are underpinned by a demanding supply chain centred at our cutting edge Magna Park National Distribution Centre, which handles a throughput of over 200 million units per year.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Manager, Network Planning to join the Central Distribution operations team, who will strategically lead the day-to-day liaison between Merchandising, Capacity Planning, and Operations, in order to ultimately ensure the efficient performance of our supply chain.

Adept at skillfully building relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, the successful candidate will be able to cut through complexity - ably understanding, influencing and agreeing the inbound, outbound, and storage capacity requirements of key sites within the John Lewis & Partners supply chain over an 18 month timeframe.

You will be a champion for the improvement of end-to-end supply chain efficiency, sharing best practices and tenaciously seeking opportunities to reduce costs whilst improving service.

In return, you will become a co-owner of the John Lewis Partnership, the UK's largest employee-owned business, who share in profit, power, and the ultimate purpose of ensuring the happiness of all of its members.

Job Requirements

Strong stakeholder management skills are essential. In addition, you will be highly numerate and data-driven, and confident in utilising your analytical ability to manipulate data, establish trends and to preemptively mitigate issues which may impact the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain.

An understanding of Distribution Operations within John Lewis & Partners or similar retail organisations will be highly advantageous.

This is an operational role, and is primarily based at John Lewis & Partners' Magna Park campus in Milton Keynes. Please note, there will be a requirement to work at John Lewis & Partners' Head Office in London Victoria a minimum of two days per week.

We have a number of different ways to work flexibly so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however, it may open the door to not only a new role but a new way of working.
