We are looking for a part-time partner to work the equivalent of 3 days per week, however both the number of hours and when the are worked are very flexible- though some on call may be required for urgent issues.

This is a beautiful and unique John Lewis Partnership owned 24 bedroom hotel, on the banks of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. It offers both character and charm to our guests.
What can you expect in this role?
Working in the hotel, you’ll be surrounded by a team of passionate and dedicated hospitality Partners to give our guests the best experience whether they are with us for the day or a longer stay. What is different about our guests though, is that they are Partners, their friends and family. As co-owners in the business, you’ll see this difference in the way your teammates and you approach your job and carry out your responsibilities.
You’ll handle routine maintenance activities throughout the hotel, acting as a brand ambassador by being a warm and friendly Partner who provides a consistently outstanding customer experience that is unrivalled in the marketplace.
Typical tasks include:
Performing routine maintenance tasks such as faulty window latches, changing light bulbs and decorating
Completing preventative maintenance programs such as fire alarm and smoke detector checks
Ensuring safety of driveways by coordinating salt sprinkling activities during snowy weather
Ensuring the hotel looks clean and maintained at all times
Ensuring that any potential hazards are taken care of
Please note there is a requirement to be on-call in this role.

A good knowledge of tools and equipment regarding buildings maintenance
Ability to work well in a team or on your own with minimal supervision
Able to work in a physical role with agility and dexterity

Proven experience of the hospitality industry
Exceptional at handling maintenance issues in a proactive manner
Experience of working with trades and/or Technicians
