Travel between our London and Bracknell offices will be required as part of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

The new Waitrose Design Centre of Excellence has been created to deliver a world-class expression of the brand across the entire Waitrose customer journey.
The centre is responsible for setting the vision and visual direction for the company, as well as creating and commissioning design from both internal and external teams and agencies. It will also advise and collaborate with colleagues across the Partnership to ensure a consistent delivery of the design vision.

Job Requirements

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter with a curious mind and a desire to succeed. You will support the Senior Designers in the creation of the vision and direction for the brand, contributing fresh ideas to the design strategy and embrace a collaborative working environment with a positive, can-do attitude.

You will work across multiple design disciplines including packaging, point of sale, instore comms, direct mail, store design, and have a good understanding of design principals for online, social and digital platforms. Supporting the team in the delivery of design work within the given timelines. This a brand new role to the Waitrose Design Centre of Excellence and a really exciting time for a Junior Designer to join!

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Design Degree
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Apple Mac base
Interest in multi-channel design across all formats
Food Art Direction experience is highly desirable
