Job Requirements

You will be responsible for the management of operations and the the delivery of infrastructure into projects, so experience in service delivery, service operations and line management would be an advantage.

This role is expected to be 75% weighted towards operational activity. With a large investment programme in infrastructure and cyber security, your experience will be invaluable in motivating a team of resources across various technologies

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Automation (vRA/vRO, Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible) and monitoring tools (BMC).
Public (AWS, GCP, IBM) and private cloud platforms (VMware, IBM)
Hypervisors (VMware, OVM, PowerCloud)
Operating systems (RHEL, AIX, Windows, SLES, OEL)
Storage (IBM, EMC, Pure)
Middleware (WebSphere, InfoSphere, WebLogic)
Databases (Oracle, SQL, DB2, MongoDB)

Previous line management experience in an equivalent field with a proven track record of developing people.
Previous experience in enterprise infrastructure roles with responsibilities for service delivery and a proven appreciation of a wide range of infrastructure technologies.
A strong background in ITIL disciplines, with strength in incident, problem and change management. Experience of capacity planning and asset management an additional advantage.
A demonstrable experience of delivering projects to time and budget including under high pressure.
An experienced infrastructure operations professional interested in making their mark in fully establishing the resources, processes and ways of working of a major new infrastructure team.
Experience in working to Agile and DevOps principles
