Duties & Responsibilities

Our Industrial Placement Programme within Social Media will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership difference and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands on experience with real projects. You will also receive relevant on the job training.

Within the Social Media Placement, you will assist with the production of engaging content and campaigns across Waitrose social media channels, and through influencer activity, to communicate our shared love of food, in line with the Customer Plan.

Job Requirements

In the Industrial Placement - Social Media role you will have a variety of accountabilities, these will include:

- Working with the Social Media Executive, Waitrose teams and agency teams to support the daily social media editorial calendar, for both organic and paid content.

- Supporting the wider social media group to plan, develop and deliver key marketing campaigns across social media.

- Assisting the delivery of influencer marketing campaigns in line with key activity.

- Deliver NetBase reporting to monitor and measure buzz and brand mentions, to be shared daily with key stakeholders.

- Keeping up with and reporting on emerging platforms and social media trends to feedback to internal stakeholders.

- Co-ordinate and collaborate with agencies, internal stakeholders, marketing, ecommerce, corporate comms and customer service teams to ensure content is accurate, engaging and relevant.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

As part of your degree, be able to take a year out in industry commencing July 2020

The assessment centre for this role will be held in November 2019. The placement will start on Monday 6th July 2020.
