Duties & Responsibilities

Our Industrial Placement Programme within Agriculture will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership different and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands on experience with real projects you will also receive relevant on the job training.

As an Industrial Placement student you will provide support to the CSR, Health & Agriculture team to deliver the Agricultural and CSR plans for the Directorate, facilitating the measurement and analysis of key Agricultural KPIs, supporting key Agri/CSR projects and general support of the Commercial Directorate to deliver set financial targets.

Job Requirements

Your responsibilities in the Industrial Placement CSR, Health and Agriculture role will include:
- Managing Producer Group meetings, Development Forums, Open days and Knowledge Transfer days on behalf of Waitrose ensuring Waitrose desired outcomes are well represented
- Develop process for reviewing and analysing key on-farm KPIs that are consistent across supply chains highlighting trends, actions to mitigate and recommendations for future areas of focus
- Prepare briefings for Livestock Steering Group & Leadership Team on key issues
- Drive other key Agricultural/CSR activities and projects as defined.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

As part of your degree, be able to take a year out in industry commencing July 2020

The assessment centre for this role will be held in early December 2019. The placement will start on Monday 6th July 2020.
