Duties & Responsibilities

Our Industrial Placement Programme within Commercial Strategy and Change will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership different and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands on experience with real projects. You will also receive relevant on the job training.

In our Industrial Placement - Commercial Strategy and Change role you will support a variety of critical Commercial functions across Commercial Strategy and Change including; support for Commercial Projects, analytical reporting and the delivery of first class communication ensuring that queries, change processes, projects and requests are actioned efficiently.

Job Requirements

During your Industrial Placement within Commercial Strategy and Change you'll have accountability for a number of tasks including;

- Support and delivery of commercial projects which will give you the opportunity to put your academic studies into practise helping to solve complex business challenges
- You'll gain understanding of the processes required for the routine running of the Commercial Strategy and Change department whilst creating relationships with other departments.
- Analyse range performance and make range recommendations to the commercial teams
- Support with the organisation of the Waitrose Supplier Conference
- Gain technical knowledge through supporting key projects within the department including Price & Promotions and the Category (Primary/Secondary) departments
- Accurate diary management, reporting and communications to the department

The minimum application requirements are as follows:
As part of your degree, be able to take a year out in industry commencing July 2020

The assessment centre for this role will be held in November 2019. The placement will start on Monday 6th July 2020.
