What’s the role about?
Our Industrial Placement Programme within Waitrose & Partners will make you see retail in a new light. Our unique Partnership difference and approach to business will enable you to get the most out of your placement year. Our placements combine hands-on experience with real projects. You will also receive relevant on the job training.
Within the Quality Assurance Team, you will support the effective and efficient deployment of a Product Quality Assurance programme that helps to set Waitrose & Partners apart from our competitors with world class quality products which delight our customers.
What will you be doing?
Provide organisation, coordination and support for business activities as part of the Product Quality Assurance programme.
Utilise key metrics and data to provide compelling reporting for use by the wider business to drive product quality standards.
Deliver product quality assessment practices.
Ensure that our data & systems usage is structured appropriately and meets the needs of our internal & external customers.
What you'll have
To be eligible for this role, you must be studying an undergraduate degree at university. As part of your degree, you will be taking a year out in industry commencing July 2022. You will currently be studying a degree in Food Science / Nutrition or other Technical classification (eg Core Sciences).

Passion for product, quality and attention to detail
Good communication skills
Analytical thinking, data manipulation and presentation skills (eg Excel, Google Sheets).
