Travel between our London and Bracknell offices will be required as part of this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

The new Waitrose Design Centre of Excellence has been created to deliver a world-class expression of the brand across the entire Waitrose customer journey.
The centre is responsible for setting the vision and visual direction for the company, as well as creating and commissioning design from both internal and external teams and agencies. It will also advise and collaborate with colleagues across the Partnership to ensure a consistent delivery of the design vision.

Job Requirements

As the Image Art Editor, you will be supporting the Image Art Direction Manager and working closely with the Manager Creative Design to deliver the vision and direction for the Waitrose Brand.
The role requires you to support in the delivery of outstanding imagery within the brand identity strategy, which clearly differentiates Waitrose from its competition.
You will undertake art direction and commission of photographic shoots supporting the Image and Art Direction Manager and following on from this support in the development of photographic brand including guidelines standards that translate across all channels and support overall design vision.
You will work closely with external reprographic agencies to ensure image quality is delivered to the highest standard and support the management teams in regards to image usage, rights and assets.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

Degree or equivalent in Photography or image/production related apprenticeship qualification
Proven experience working with imagery at a controller level or higher within a fast-paced magazine publishing, agency, internal agency or marketing environment.
Art direction/art editing.
Strong time management skills and comfortable meeting tight deadlines.
Excellent planning ability.
Able to organise workload to meet conflicting priorities.
Relationship & Influencing - Excellent inter-personal skills.
Strong persuasive communicator.
Negotiation skills - confident negotiating.
Proficient in Google Docs, MS Office, Adobe
Creative Suite - Mac and PC Based
Food Art Direction experience is highly desirable.
