Established nearly 40 years ago Winter Hill in Cookham, the golf course provides an idyllic and peaceful place for Partners and their guests to get away and work on their game. The course is spread over 120 acres, the course is 6,397 yards in length with a par of 72, from the ladies' tee, the course is 5,761 yards, par 73. The course also has a practice area and a putting green with a Clubhouse for food, drink & events. Partners can also book lessons with the fully qualified PGA golf professionals on site.
What to expect in the role?
The golf course has developed over the years to be a mature, high quality course with a great reputation making it a popular and busy course and this is down to the dedicated and passionate greenkeeping team. You’ll be working in a team to maintain and manage our fleet of golf course maintenance equipment with additional responsibility given to a fleet of auxiliary land management equipment. In addition the role involves supporting the team to keep the course to a very high standard in caring for the greens and creating a challenging but enjoyable course to our golfers, whilst ensuring that etiquette is adhered to at all times.
To offer the best experience to our guests, you will need to be flexible and support other areas of the club if required. You will also be seen as a brand ambassador for the Partnership in your interactions with customers and your actions to provide a consistently outstanding customer experience that is unrivalled in the marketplace.
In order to make sure that the golf course is always at its best, there will be early starts and some weekend shifts.

What do you need and what else could you bring?
Hospitality and leisure is an ever changing environment with a real focus on great customer service and providing an experience for our guests. This is achieved through each Partner being motivated, creative and great teamwork.
We require you to have:
Clean Driving Licence
City and Guilds in Welding level 1 or equivalent
Having the below would be desirable but on the job training will be given if needed:
NVQ Level 2 in land-based engineering or equivalent
Attention to detail and a passion to achieve excellent results
Knowledge of Greenkeeping
PA1, PA2, & PA6 spraying qualification
Knowledge of irrigation systems
Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 Sports Turf Management
Knowledge of Machinery Maintenance
